Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Inklined is a product of AI GTM Studio Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17059288, registered office 22 Leighlands, Crawley, RH10 3DW. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. Our ICO registration number is ZC183360.

In this policy, "you" means the person using Inklined, and "your account" means the workspace you sign in to.

2. What we collect

Information you give us directly

• Account details: your name, email address, and your password or the identity provider you sign in with.
• Billing details: your billing name, address and country. Card numbers are handled by Stripe and never reach our servers.
• Anything you type, paste, upload or record: writing samples, documents, notes, links, answers you give during your strategy session, and drafts you edit.

Information we collect because you connected something

• Call transcripts. If you connect a meeting recorder, we receive transcripts of the meetings you choose to sync. Before a transcript is used for anything, we run an anonymisation pass over it that removes names and identifying details, and the extracted output is what feeds your topics and your fingerprint.
• Email and calendar. If you connect Google Workspace, we read your calendar and your mail on a read-only basis to assemble your weekly review. We do not send mail from your account and we do not store the full contents of your mailbox.
• Your LinkedIn activity. If you connect LinkedIn, we collect your posts, their engagement figures, and the profiles you choose to track.
• Pages you save. See section 7 on the browser extension.

Information we collect automatically

• Usage data: which features you use, when, and how often. Errors and diagnostic logs.
• Device and connection data: IP address, browser and operating system.
• Cookies and similar technologies. See section 10.

Information about other people. This one has its own section. See section 6.

3. How we use your information, and our lawful basis

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not sell or share it for advertising.

4. Your fingerprint, and who owns it

Inklined builds a fingerprint of how you think and how you write. It is seven plain Markdown files: voice.md, beliefs.md, frameworks.md, taste.md, topics.md, bio.md and icp.md.

Three commitments about it:

• They are yours. They are stored in a private, access-controlled area of our storage, readable only by your account and by the systems serving your account.
• You can read and change every one of them. Nothing about how the product understands you is hidden from you.
• You can take them with you. You can download your whole fingerprint as a zip of plain Markdown at any time, from inside the product, with no request to us and no export queue.

We do not use your fingerprint, your writing, your transcripts or your drafts to build a product for anyone else, and we do not pool it with other customers' data.

5. AI processing, and what we do not do

Generating a draft means sending your fingerprint and the relevant material to a third-party AI provider, which returns text. Scoring the people who engage with your work means sending their public professional details and your ideal client profile to a third-party AI classifier, which returns a score. Speaking to Inklined means sending audio to a speech provider, which returns a transcript. Section 9 names them.

Two things we want to be plain about:

• We do not train AI models on your data. Your fingerprint is supplied as context at the moment a draft is generated and is not used to train, fine-tune or otherwise alter any model.
• Our AI providers do not train on your data either. We use them under business terms that exclude customer content from model training, and we will update this policy if that ever changes.

Everything Inklined produces is a draft for you to review. You decide what gets published.

6. Information about other people

Some of what Inklined does involves personal data about people who are not our customers. You need to understand this, and so do they.

What we collect. When you use the People surface, or track a profile, we collect publicly available professional information from LinkedIn about the people who engage with your posts or with the profiles you track. That means their name, headline, role, employer, profile URL, profile photo, and the public comments and reactions they left. We combine it into an interest score that ranks them against the ideal client profile you have defined. To produce that score, we send a person's headline, role, employer and location, but not their name, to TypeSafe, an AI classifier hosted in the United States, together with your ideal client profile. It answers a fixed set of questions about fit. The score is a suggestion for you to review. It does not decide anything about the person on its own.

If you use the outbound feature. On the Pro plan, when you accept a person, we additionally collect their recent public posts, and we look up a business email address for them through Apollo or lemlist using your own account with those services. We assemble this into a summary for you to review before you contact them.

Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: connecting professionals with other professionals who have publicly engaged with their work. We have weighed this against those individuals' rights. We limit collection to professional, publicly posted information, we do not collect special category data, and we do not scrape private profiles, private messages or personal contact details.

What we do not do. We do not build advertising profiles. We do not sell these records. We do not infer anything about a person's health, beliefs, politics, sexuality, race or any other special category. We do not collect information about people from their personal, non-professional accounts.

Your responsibility as our customer. If you use Inklined to contact someone, you are responsible for complying with the direct marketing and privacy rules that apply to you, including PECR in the UK and equivalent rules elsewhere. Inklined gives you a drafting and research tool. It does not give you permission to contact anyone.

If you are one of these people and you are reading this, you have the same rights as anyone else under section 14. Write to privacy@beinklined.com and we will tell you what we hold about you and remove it on request.

7. The browser extension

Inklined offers an optional browser extension, installed from inside the product. If you install it:

• It only ever acts when you tell it to. It does not read pages in the background, it does not follow your browsing, and it does not build a history of the sites you visit. It captures a page only when you click save on that page.
• What it captures when you save. The page URL, its title, and its content. For articles and LinkedIn posts we keep the full text. For videos and podcasts we keep the title, the source and the description rather than the media.
• What you add. A typed note, a highlighted quotation, or a voice memo. All optional, and a save with no reaction is perfectly normal.
• How it is authorised. A connection token unique to your account, stored in the extension, which links a save to your workspace. It gives the extension permission to send saves to your account and nothing else. You can revoke it from your account settings at any time, which stops the extension working immediately.
• Where saves go. Into your swipe file, and from there into your Explore feed and your fingerprint.

The extension asks for microphone access only when you record a voice memo, and only for as long as you are recording.

8. Voice and recordings

You can talk to Inklined instead of typing, in the strategy session, in the extension, and when adding material to your fingerprint.

When you do, audio is sent to our speech provider and converted to text. The text is kept and used as described in this policy. Recordings you make in the product are stored against your account so you can play them back, and you can delete them. We do not record you at any time you have not started a recording, and Inklined never joins or records a meeting on your behalf.

9. Who we share your information with

We do not sell your data. We share it with the service providers below, each of which processes it on our instructions and under contract.

We will also disclose information if the law requires it, to establish or defend legal claims, or to protect the safety of a person. If Inklined is ever sold or merged, your data may transfer to the buyer, and we will tell you before that happens.

10. Cookies and analytics

On our website we use a small number of cookies and similar technologies:

• Strictly necessary cookies, so the site works and so we remember your cookie choices.
• Analytics, through Google Tag Manager, to understand how people find and use the site.
• Visitor identification, through Apollo, which uses your IP address to work out which company is visiting. It tells us the organisation, not who you are personally.

We use a consent banner to manage this. Non-essential cookies are not set until you accept them, and you can change your choice at any time through the banner.

Inside the product we use PostHog to understand which features are used and where people get stuck, and cookies that keep you signed in.

11. Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit and at rest, access controls that scope your data to your account, and least-privilege access for our own staff. Your fingerprint files sit in a private store with per-account access rules enforced on every request.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal data and is likely to result in a risk to you, we will tell you and the ICO in line with our legal obligations.

12. How long we keep things

• While your account is open, we keep your content so the product works.
• If you stop paying, your workspace is closed rather than deleted, and your content is kept so you can come back to it. Tell us to delete it and we will.
• If you delete your account, we delete your content within 30 days, apart from anything we must keep for legal or accounting reasons, such as invoices.
• Backups are kept on a rolling basis and are overwritten in the normal course, which means deleted data can persist in a backup for a short period after deletion.
• Records about other people, as described in section 6, are deleted when you delete them, when you close your account, or on that person's request.
• Our providers keep what we send them only for as long as their data processing terms with us allow, and delete it after that.

13. International transfers

We are based in the United Kingdom. Some of the providers in section 9 are in the United States or elsewhere. When your data leaves the UK or the EEA we rely on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, together with additional safeguards where they are needed. You can ask us for details of the safeguards that apply.

14. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

• ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• have your data deleted;
• restrict or object to how we use it, including objecting to processing based on legitimate interests;
• receive your data in a portable format, which for your fingerprint you can do yourself at any time;
• withdraw consent where we relied on it, without affecting anything done before you withdrew it.

If you are not happy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or to your local supervisory authority if you are in the EEA.

15. Children

Inklined is a professional tool and is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data about children. If you think a child has given us their data, tell us and we will delete it.

16. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy as the product changes. If a change is significant we will tell you by email or in the product before it takes effect. The date at the top always shows the current version.
