A new shape for the app
The six-tab navigation started here, behind a flag. Posts became Traction, Today learned to ask you a question, and the whole thing became usable on a phone.
From the beta. Inklined was in private beta this week, so these notes describe what changed for the people using it at the time, not what a new account gets today. For where things ended up, read the 1 September notes.
The shape that became v2
The tab bar, the sidebar and the avatar menu that the whole app moved to on 1 September were built this week, behind a flag, with every old route mapped to its new home.
The first rename landed with it: Posts became Traction, and gained a published timeline rather than a list.
Today asks you something
Rather than only offering things to react to, Today started asking a question worth answering, drawn from your own material. Answer it and the answer seeds a draft. Pass, and it learns from that too.
Usable on a phone
Compose, the fingerprint file tree and the filter rows were rebuilt for small screens, which is where a fair amount of this actually gets read.
