A newsletter that knows what your week was
Newsletters moved onto the long-form writer and started being about your actual week, the interviewer learned to read a link you paste, and Today got a Saved queue.
From the beta. Inklined was in private beta this week, so these notes describe what changed for the people using it at the time, not what a new account gets today. For where things ended up, read the 1 September notes.
Newsletters, written properly
Newsletters had been generated the same way as a short post, which is why they read like one stretched out. They now run through the structured long-form generator, so they come out with real sections.
The interview behind them also changed. Instead of asking what you want to write about in the abstract, it asks about the week you have actually had, using your calls and your saves as the prompt.
Paste a link and it reads it
Drop a URL into the interview and Inklined reads the page before it asks its next question. It stops the conversation where you explain an article you have just read to something that cannot see it.
Not every good idea is a today idea
Save for later on any Today idea card parks it in a queue you can come back to, rather than losing it when the day rolls over.
